• Project Analysis and Feasibility Assessment

  Reeds Consulting offer pre-purchase servicing advice and development expenditure advice. We seek to work with clients from the initial phases of project implementation and can ensure that project planning and conceptual development is undertaken with consideration of the engineering and servicing constraints that each site presents. We offer a suite of project analysis services including:

  • Pre-purchase development appraisals and estimates
  • Project cashflow analysis
  • Detailed feasibility reporting
  • Project certification services for financial institutions and developers
  • Masterplanning and major Infrastructure analysis including review of Development Contribution Plans or Cost Apportionment Schemes

• Greenfield Subdivision

  Reeds Consulting offers complete engineering design and contract administration services for all types of residential, commercial and industrial greenfield development. Our team has a vast bank of experience covering all types of projects from small medium density sites to master planned estates of several thousand lots. We are active in all of Melbourne’s Growth Corridors and throughout regional Victoria.

  Our subdivision services include liaison and negotiations with all service authorities, masterplanning of roads and servicing requirements, consultation with Councils, Road Authority, preparation of concept, functional and detailed design plans, tendering, contract preparation, contract administration, superintending of contract, auditing of water authority works and seeking all associated subdivision or building site works release requirements.

• Urban Renewal & Infrastructure Projects

  Reeds have been actively engaged in urban renewal and urban infrastructure projects for some 30 years and have developed specialist civil engineering skills in this type of work. The knowledge gained by our engineering team from working on numerous well known urban renewal projects, including the Commonwealth Games Village at Parkville, has provided us the knowledge to value-add to the success of our clients’ projects. We enjoy working as a key member of large multi-disciplinary consultant teams often associated with this type of project.

  Our experience covers large redevelopment sites in excess of 20Ha, former quarry sites, as well as a vast range of CBD and inner suburb projects where issues such as building requirements, existing infrastructure constraints, limited space and other site and environmental issues often call on the need for innovative design and construction requirements and the ability to work with the servicing authorities and the project team to develop specific solutions for a project.

• Drainage and Water Resources

  As an extension of our traditional land development services, Reeds offers integrated or stand –alone hydrological, hydraulic and water quality solutions for land and building development. These include dealing with flood plain management and mitigation issues, drainage investigations, design and management of main drainage pipeline and new waterways systems, retarding basins and detention systems, stormwater harvesting systems and also waterway re-alignment and remodelling.

  We have extensive knowledge in the design and practical implementation of all elements of Water Sensitive Urban Design (WSUD) including wetlands, bio-retention systems, swales, soakage systems and other innovative solutions to meet or exceed Best Practice requirements.

• Sewer and Water Reticulation

  Reeds are accredited to undertake design and auditing services in all Melbourne Retail Water agencies and various regional water agencies. We hold accreditation for sewer and water pipelines of all sizes including special accreditation overlays to authorise us to work in high risk areas such as the CBD, in areas with poor ground conditions and also on asset renewal projects.

  We regularly undertake sewer and water main extension and re-alignment works for inner city developments and have an intimate understanding of the specific design challenges that this type of project presents.

Our engineering department comprises a dedicated and accomplished team of design and construction engineers, drafting technicians and support staff led by our hands-on Directors and senior personnel with the skills and experience to cover every aspect of our clients’ projects.

Among other affiliations, we are members of the Association of Land Development Engineers and EnviroDevelopment Professional. We are accredited service providers to servicing authorities and agencies including VicRoads, Melbourne Water and the Melbourne Retail Water Agencies (South East Water, City West Water & Yarra Valley Water) and various regional Water Companies and also have well established working relationships with the various utility agencies involved in the development industry including the electricity companies, gas companies, NBN and other telecommunication providers.
